Fiona Moorehead-Lane (nee Ford)
I have been involved in the sport of Triathlon since 2001, and have experienced the full spectrum of training and racing various triathlon distances whilst working full-time. I've been mentoring, supporting and coaching athletes of all abilities since 2005. I understand the demands of balancing life, work and triathlon and the importance of a coach in maximising what precious little time remains for your training and sport!
As an athlete, I have been very fortunate to work with Steve Trew, Olympic Triathlon coach at the Sydney 2000 games, who coached me to consistent top 10 age group placings at ITU World and ETU Championships. Since opting to race the Ironman distance, I have been working with Spencer Smith, one of the greatest names in the sport and whose depth of experience as an athlete is as yet unrivalled. Experience is everything when it comes to such an individual sport as triathlon, as one size generally does not fit all - in terms of a training programme!
By designing individual weekly programmes around a periodised approach to your goals, whether it be to complete your first triathlon or simply to finish an Ironman distance race or even to represent Great Britain at the World or European Championships - I can help. The time and thinking that goes into designing a program for yourself can be handed over to someone who understands your aspirations, strengths and weaknesses and you can focus your energy on your training, feedback to your coach and racing!
