It's been a bumper season!

It's been a bumper season!

It's a lovely leaf-rustling, colourful Autumn for us here in the Northern hemisphere, and time to reflect on season performances to enhance the planning process for 2012. This time of year is also synonomous with having a planned break from structured training, enjoying a complete break from training 'letting down' and perhaps taking up a new sport or learning a new skill.

Having a change of routine at the end of season is essential for facilitating complete and comprehensive recovery from the season, allowing the body to physically regroup and rebuild as well as providing the opportunity to 'freshen up' mentally. A hugely beneficial process! It's a perfect opportunity to reflect on this season's 'harvest' and results, as it's been a bumper season for the team!

Highlights from the season include:

  • Personal best performances by everyone on the team. Check out the results page for individual results, impressive debut Ironman performers and thise taking huge chunks of their previous results from Sprint, 10k, half marathons to long distance triathlon.
  • Average improvement of 30 sec/ 100m pace from our swim squad regulars
  • Podium age groups finishes and race winners here in the UK, Europe and at International races

Going forward into 2012 promises to deliver more of the same good news, bumper harvest of results and impressive haul of PB performances. Use some 'down-time' at the end of the season to review 2011, identify areas to develop over the next few months, meet with your coach and start putting together a master plan for next season

Looking forward to seeing many of you at our Christmas Do on Monday 19th December!
