Yoga and sports hugely complement each other. Yoga postures can correct muscle imbalances resulting from high impact training, aligning the joints, improving bone density, lengthening and strengthening the muscles to prevent pain and injury. Yoga cultivates awareness of any resistance, promotes the release of tension and improves circulation in the connective tissue to help you recover and rejuvenate after sports. Yoga breathing techniques will improve concentration, confidence, focus and positive pleasure in your athletic pursuits. These practices result in inner strength and body awareness. After a hard day of training, a yoga practice will ease and lengthen the muscles, re-balance your energy and get you fully prepared for the next training session.
